Description
This clear Vintage Fostoria Flame #2545 double candlestick is in perfect condition with no chips, flaws, or scratches. So pristine you would think it is brand new and not almost 100 years old. (Circa 1930’s) Beautiful Art Deco design, this would be a cherished heirloom for a gift or to adorn your own table. The base is not etched, which gives it a cleaner and more modern feel.Measures 10.25” wide x 7” tall at the tip of the center flame, and 5.25” round at the base.
This listing is for 2 antique satin opal (
milk)
glass
trays made by the Fostoria Glass Company in the early 1900's. The border consists of lovely raised flowers and scrolls with a bow at each end. The trays measures 9 1/4 inches long and 4 1/2 inches wide and were officially named "pen trays" as part of Dresser Sets. Both trays are in excellent condition with no damage found
(slight roughness along the mold line of the base and a straw mark or two, as manufactured). The satin glass is SO smooth to the touch. One tray has some of the original gold-tone paint that was applied to the bows. There are really pretty swirls in the glass of the central portion of the unpainted tray.
I've enjoyed these for decades and hope to find them a new, loving home.
