Vintage 1940s Duncan & Miller GRECIAN Cigarette Holder Urn. Condition is "Used". Shipped with USPS First Class.
These are not very common or easy to find. This pattern was made in the 1940s into the early 50s. Mid century cigarette holder and clear in the Grecian pattern. Also not a common size. This measures 3 3/8 inches tall. The top opening is just under 2.5, and the cool square base measures 2 inches across. This will be very carefully packed and shipped to you for free! Please ask questions if you have any. This was part of a very large glass collection kept in storage over the years with many scarce, rare, and interesting examples from glass of different eras. This 1930s art glass vase is lovely! It's called Chanticleer which comes from Chaucer’s Canterbury Tales, the “Nun’s Priest Tale”, to be specific. The Chanticleer is a proud and fierce rooster who dominates the barnyard. It was the creation of Duncan & Miller of
Washington, Pennsylvania, producers of high quality glass from 1865-1955.
The vase or votive is small, measuring in at 3.25" tall and 4.5" across (8.25cm x 11.5cm).
