    Description

Miniature Glass Brides Basket Duncan Miller Green Vaseline Depression Glass
I believe this glass basket is Duncan Miller Glass Co.
with the vertical panels surrounding the basket. 4 part mold. Applied handle.
The basket measures 2-1/4" tall, with handle 5-3/4" tall.
    No chips, cracks or hairlines.
FYI-All of these baskets are from my personal collection of over 30 years and each sold separately.
The last photo is all of them grouped together just to show off my small collection. The collection was much larger before we downsized the first time. Now these need to go to good homes where they will be loved. I think they make lovely gifts for a bride to hand out to her Maid of Honor or Bride Maids.
Glass Brides Basket Trivia: While multiple other Manufacturers made these miniature glass baskets the 2 most prolific you will find are Duncan Miller and Westmoreland Glass Co.
Westmoreland Glass Co. & Duncan Miller Basket handles were applied to the basket and joined at the top middle.
Duncan Miller held the patent for the applied handles and you will often find an "In Mold" Mark of PAT'D on the inside base.
As the mold wore out this mark will become very faint at times.
Both companies produced them with very clear quality glass and with wheel cut decoration motifs.
It appears that Westmoreland first made their baskets c. 1921 and for many decades with different glass treatments and motifs.
Duncan's early years the handles were applied but later years they perfected a process where the basket and the handles were one piece.
Duncan's "Tavern" pattern introduced in the early 1900s and is distinguished with 6 horizontal threads of glass circling the basket.
Both companies used a 4 part mold found in the older baskets. A couple of newer Westmoreland baskets are 2 part molds.

Hawaii & Alaska quoted shipping fee with insurance so please request an invoice to pay from. If shipping cost do not cover Hawaii & Alaska I will need to send you another invoice for additional shipping charges.
This Pair of Blue Roman I Crucifix Candle Stick Holders are marked Ripley & Co on one side of the base and Pat Pending on the other side. Ripley & Co were the original producers of these candle stick holders in the late 1800s and they were later produced by Duncan Miller as far back as the 1870s. They were made in crystal, opal, and blue with opal and blue being hard to find, especially as a pair. This pair is in good used condition, but they both have a small chip on the base of their foot. One of the chips is right on the edge of the base and the other is underneath the base and just barely coming over the bottom edge of the base. I show both of these chips in my last four photos. Because of the chips small size and their location they do not detract from the look of these candle stick holders at all. These candle stick holders are just a little over 10 1/2" tall and the bases are 5 1/2" in diameter. After I purchased this pair I was told that these came from a church where they were used for many years and that they were blessed by a priest, which may or may not be true. My photos show the actual candle stick holders that you will receive. For some reason my camera makes them look like they are standing at an angle when they actually stand straight up and down like they are supposed to.
