This is a great huge 16" diameter platter/plate in the Hobnail Pattern by Duncan Miller.  Very cute with the hobnail bumps along rim of plate, it curves up slightly at the sides, not a flat plate, you could almost call it a very shallow bowl.  In great shape with no chips.  There are light scratches all around the inner area where it rises from a flat center, as if something was placed on top of it in the middle.  Generally the scratches are light and not noticed unless looking closely in certain light at an angle.  I did try to capture them in some of the photos, so please look at all the photos as part of description.  This can be used as is but I also believe many people use it underneath the Punch Bowl if you are lucky enough to have the matching punch bowl, which may be where the scratches came from.  A great and rare piece with defects that are commensurate for its age.  Please look at all photos.  16" diameter and when on flat surface, the top of the hobnail on the edge curves up to almost 2", it's 1 7/8" high.
