We are pleased to offer for sale a fantastic piece of Cambridge Glass Block Optic pattern in the hard to find Rubina color.  This stunning piece is in
Undamaged Condition without chips, cracks, repairs,  or mold damage.
The vase has fantastic color.  It runs more ruby to amber than some of the vases found.  You can see hues of green, but not blue.  The color is deep and rich.  You will love adding this
hard to find vase to
your Cambridge collection.
Block Optic
(1920s) (Amber, Crystal Cobalt, Rubina, ) Cambridge introduced their Block Optic pattern in the 1920s. Block Optic is a rather obscure pattern.  It appears to have an almost basket weave design to the pattern .   It is most often seen in Rubina, but it can also be found in the colors listed above.  It is often confused with another Cambridge pattern called Hex Optic.  These patterns are so similar that we have seen them mixed.  Pieces most often found in the Block Optic pattern include vases, and a pitcher and tumbler set.
Rubina
(Mid to late 1920s) Rubina was made for a very short time.  It was introduced in 1925.  The color can vary from an almost ruby color to a color that will shade from red to green, to a rich medium blue.  The color was not consistent due to the composition of the glass.  The heating process caused the color variations. Rubina in its various shades is fun to collect.

Excellent vintage set with decanter and 6 cordial glasses. The decanter with stopper is 8.5" tall and the glasses are 2" tall. Set color is Amber & Chrome.
